Berke Bulletin: Election Day 2018

Friends,

Our community is strongest when everyone participates. When you vote, you make your voice heard about who you want to represent you and the values that are important to you.

I voted early this past Wednesday at our Trick, Treat & Vote party at Brainerd YFD Center, and had the pleasure of meeting Robert, who was voting for the first time.

Today is Election Day and it’s important that you vote. Polls are open from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST.

Ask your local librarian or City employees at the Treasury window on the 1st floor of City Hall. All are trained experts on how to answer your voting questions.

So far, early voting in Hamilton County has tripled the normal level for midterm elections. This is great, and we need to keep it up. Chattanooga can be a city with the highest voting participation in Tennessee — but it will take all of us together to do it. Share this email with three friends, family members, or neighbors and ask them to vote.

After you vote, let me know on social media! I’ll be highlighting the top posts from Chattanoogans throughout the day. Just use the hashtag #CHAVotes or tag me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.

Thanks for all you do, and I look forward to seeing you at the polls.

Andy
