Chattanooga Mayor Andy Berke issued two executive orders, 2020-02 and 2020-04, which affect the operations of a variety of businesses. This is being done out of an abundance of caution for your health and the Chattanooga community.

We understand that many local business owners and service industry employees are being directly impacted by this and while we hope we are on the other side of this pandemic soon, we've compiled resources that can help connect you to a variety of services at this time.

I need assistance with housing.

Please contact the State of Tennessee Housing Development Agency as THDA is accepting applications from Hamilton County residents experiencing financial hardships due to COVID-19. Qualified renters who are or have been struggling to pay rent, utilities, or other home energy costs due to loss of income as a result of the pandemic may be eligible for up to 12 months of assistance.

To start an application you can go directly to the THDA site or call (844) 500-1112 for assistance.

Calls are accepted Monday through Saturday from 8:00am – 9:00pm (Eastern Time).

I need assistance with utilities.

I need assistance with transportation.

CARTA is still providing regular routes and has implemented robust cleaning protocols to ensure safe travel for all riders.

The CARTA CARE-A-VAN program has recently increased the services it currently provides to especially vulnerable populations related to the COVID-19 pandemic. To learn more about these services and to see if you qualify, please call 423-698-9038.

The Downtown Shuttle will operate from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.. The North Shore Shuttle will operate from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.
There will be no weekend service on either shuttle route.
Fixed route bus services will operate on Saturday schedules with the last trip from downtown at 9:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and will operate on regular Sunday schedules.
All passengers will board by rear door to minimize contact with drivers.
Only 10 passengers will be permitted on any given bus at any given time. Extra buses will be deployed as much as possible to assist with capacity issues.
